What We Collect

What you send us. When you fill in a form on this site or call the number on it, we receive what you give us: your name, how to reach you, and what you tell us about what happened.

What your browser sends. Like most websites, this one receives the internet address of your connection, the type of device and browser you use, the pages you open and the time. Security services that protect the site keep a record of requests for a limited time.

Cookies. This site and the services named below place small files (cookies) in your browser. Some keep the site working and safe. Others are used for advertising, as described below.

How We Use It

We use what you send us to answer you and to decide whether we can help with your matter. Sending a form or calling does not by itself make you a client of the firm. We use what your browser sends to keep the site working and secure, to count how many visitors call or write to us after seeing an ad, and for advertising as described below.

Advertising

We advertise online. Third party vendors, including Google and NextRoll, Inc. (AdRoll), show our ads on sites across the internet. Third party vendors, including Google and NextRoll, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to this website. This means that after you visit this site you may be added to an advertising audience and may later see our ads elsewhere. These vendors receive what your browser sends when it opens a page (such as the page, the time, the internet address and a cookie or device identifier). We do not give them what you write in a form. One exception is possible: when an inquiry is counted, Google’s tag may send Google a scrambled (hashed) copy of an email address it finds on the page, which Google uses to match the inquiry to an ad.

You can opt out of Google’s use of cookies and device identifiers for this purpose in Google’s Ads Settings. You can opt out of NextRoll’s on its opt out page, and its privacy notice is at nextroll.com/privacy. You can also use the choice below, which covers both.

Your Privacy Choices

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. You can tell us not to add this browser to advertising audiences. Use the button here or the link with those words at the foot of every page. The choice is kept in this browser for a little over a year. If you clear your cookies or use another browser or device, make the choice again there.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as this choice and you need do nothing.

Visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are not added to advertising audiences.

You can also call (800) 610-6255, email intake@ledgerlaw.com, or write to us through the contact page and we will help you with any choice or request on this page.

Who Receives Your Information

We do not sell your information for money. Companies that work for us receive information as needed to do that work: the company that hosts this site, services that protect it from attacks and unwanted messages (including Google reCAPTCHA on our forms), the system in which the firm keeps inquiries, and Google and NextRoll, Inc. (AdRoll) for the advertising described above. California calls the advertising described above “sharing”, and you can opt out of it as described under Your Privacy Choices.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its use for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. To make a request, call (800) 610-6255, email intake@ledgerlaw.com, or write to us through the contact page.

Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
